Yvonne Basten

My name is Yvonne Basten and I am the Vice President of Beacon Literacy Canada Inc. Leah Sinclaire and I first met last year at a networking group called Roaring Women. The last time I attended a Roaring Women dinner, I decided that it was time to set up a meeting with Leah…. You probably think, "Why?" but for now we will just call it a 'gut feeling'. First of all, I would like to tell you what I do, before I move on to my 'Leah experience'. Beacon Literacy is the worlds fastest, reading development company on the planet. We guarantee that a students reading level improves by one grade level, however, our average is about 2.5 grade levels. The program is one-on-one and individuals can access our program through our Beacon Centres in both Calgary, AB and Victoria, BC. Knowing that 46% of our adult population is functionally illiterate or worse, you can imagine that there is a lot of work ahead of us. Recently I felt that I needed to find out whether the numbers in both my personal names and the numbers of our business Beacon Literacy Canada Inc., are adding up right, so all the numbers are working in our favour. According to Leah, they were good but there was definitely some room for improvement. I met with her for 3 hours (yes, you’re reading that correctly) and fell from one amazing moment into another. Leah was so 'bang on' with what she had to say about both myself as a person and the Company. Leah suggested that I should make changes to my real name and a few minor ones to the Company name. Since I am a firm believer in anything that has to do with the spiritual world and personal growth (and I know there is no such thing as coincidence), I can guarantee you that I am fully prepared to make all the changes necessary in order to increase my good fortunes. Now you are probably curious to find out, what has happened after my first meeting with Leah. My partner and I are currently working on a big overseas deal that will definitely put our Company on the map. We are all very excited about these developments, and things seem to be escalating rapidly and falling into place nicely and it was only a few weeks ago that I went to see Leah. A visit with Leah will change your life (for the better!) forever and after meeting with her I promised myself that I will never make a major decision again without consulting Leah first.
